Medsphere hires Lichtenwald as CFO

Medsphere Systems, an EHR provider, has appointed Irv Lichtenwald as chief financial officer (CFO) and newest member of the executive team.

With experience in finance and IT, Lichtenwald served as CFO for Advent Software, a provider of investment management software from 1995 to 2003, according to the Carlsbad, Calif.-based Medsphere.

Michael J. Doyle, Medsphere's president and CEO, said that this addition to its executive team is partly due to the fact that it is "currently in the market to raise additional funds."
