Agfa installs PACS, CR at U.K. hospital group

Agfa HealthCare has completed installation of its Impax PACS and CR systems at 10 Spire Healthcare Group hospitals in the United Kingdom.

According to Agfa, the conversion to CR has enabled the hospitals to move away from wet chemistry film technology into digital imaging.

The installation of Impax has simplified media storage and retrieval and also allowed consultant radiologists to use 3D reconstruction and work with orthopedic templating software for the first time, the company said.
