MEDecision, InSite One enter image sharing agreement

Healthcare management solution company MEDecision has entered into an agreement with data management company InSite One for the cross-licensing and reselling of technology, services and intellectual property.

According to the Wayne, Pa.-based MEDecision, the deal could allow for cross-enterprise patient information sharing in the U.S., and the long-term management of imaging and non-imaging data.

MEDecision said it will include InSite One's InDex image archiving and business continuity services in its offerings to providers and health plans. The agreement also provides the Wallingford, Conn.-based InSite One with the tools and services necessary for its InDex services to be compliant with IHE standards for cross-enterprise health information exchange (HIE).

According to MEDecision, InDex will offer and support the complete range of XDS, XDS-I, PIX/PDQ and ATNA components as a hosted solution for sharing clinical data, both imaging and textual, within the HIE-capable archive solution.
