HealthTrust Purchasing, Zoll ink deal for temperature management system

HealthTrust Purchasing has entered a purchasing agreement with medical device and software company Zoll Medical for its intravascular temperature management (IVTM) system.

Under the terms of agreement, HealthTrust members will be able to purchase the Zoll system, that includes cooling and warming catheters with triple lumen center venous capability and the Thermogard XP temperature management system.

According to Chelmsford, Ma.-based Zoll, the IVTM solution can control body temperature by directly cooling or warming the patient’s blood as it circulates through the body. The feature assists in the monitoring of fever, intracranial pressure control and induced hypothermia.
