Vital appoints Muduroglu to board

Vital Images, a provider of advanced visualization software, has appointed Oran Muduroglu as a member of its board of directors.

Muduroglu has more than 22 years of experience in health IT, and was the co-founder of Stentor and recently served as the CEO of healthcare informatics at Philips Healthcare, according to the Minneapolis-based Vital. In the early 1990s, he served as vice president of sales and marketing at Cemax, a medical 3D workstation developer, and, prior to that, as senior product manager at Toshiba America Medical Systems.

The company said that Muduroglu will stand for election at the next annual shareholders' meeting of Vital with the other directors.
