Southwest surgery center selects Wolters' coding, EHR software

Mesquite Surgery Center in Tuscon, Ariz., has selected Wolters Kluwer Health’s ProVation MD software for procedure documentation and coding for gastroenterology, along with its ProVation EHR application.

Designed for ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), ProVation EHR offers electronic documentation and document imaging for various elements of the patient encounter, according to the Minneapolis-based Wolters Kluwer Health.

ProVation MD, available for the range of ASC specialties, replaces dictation and transcription, allowing physicians to document procedures at the point of care, the company added.
