SIIM: McKesson debuts Radiology Benchmarks Collaborative

MINNEAPOLIS--McKesson showcased Radiology Benchmarks Collaborative (RBC), an automated benchmarking subscription service, at the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting last week. The new service provides the strategic tools to analyze, share and compare practice information for financial, operational and clinical performance.

Radiology businesses need evidence to justify capital investments, explained George Kovacs, marketing director at McKesson. RBC subscribers can compare their performance to similar radiology operations for their clinical and business decisions.

The hosted web application provides performance metrics and analytical functions by collecting data from multiple systems using key performance indicators (KPIs), Kovacs said. Subscribers can compare similar facilities in their region or within their enterprise by reviewing trends.
