California system reduces password fatigue with Imprivata

ValleyCare Health System, of Pleasanton, Calif., has implemented Imprivata's OneSign to manage passwords and provide its clinicians with access to EMR applications.

ValleyCare has replaced or upgraded most of its health IT systems, deploying Siemens Healthcare's MedSeries4 Health Information System, along with laboratory, radiology, pharmacy and PACS systems from Siemens. Imprivata OneSign fits within ValleyCare’s clinician workflow, allowing the organization to integrate health IT systems and implement access policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations, Lexington, Mass.-based Imprivata stated.
