ScImage develops integrated PACS/RIS platform

ScImage has released its PicomEnterprise PACS platform, which integrates many RIS functions into a single PACS model.

The PicomEnterprise platform manages scheduling and modality worklists, processes tech notes and ER discrepancies, delivers a reading platform to the physician and allows customer-configuration of exam data, according to ScImage. The unified implementation model eliminates many duplicate front-end HIS and back-end EMR interface costs associated with RIS/PACS, the company said.

Los Altos, Calif.-based ScImage develops medical imaging, workflow and EMR management products and is marketing PicomEnterprise to radiology and all other clinical imaging departments.
