Sorna nabs ODS Medicals PACScomm

Sorna has signed an acquisition agreement with ODS Medical to purchase its PACScomm DICOM CD/DVD systems division.

Since Sorna’s eXpedo systems support the same CD/DVD hardware as PACScomm, customers with pending sales and valid quotes will be offered the choice of purchasing either software, according to Eagan, Minn.-based Sorna, which develops DICOM and IHE-conformant image distribution products. Sorna also will take over support of ODS Medical's installed customer base of PACScomm systems, assuming responsibility for service contracts with ODS Medical’s customers.
