North Carolina org selects NextGen platform
ACT Health Management Services (HMS) will deploy NextGen Healthcare Information Systems' NextGen Ambulatory EHR and NextGen Practice Management software.
Through the agreement, HMS–a Wilmington, N.C.-based managed services organization–will provide ACT Medical Group members with access to the integrated NextGen platform.
Offering medical directorship, primary care, psychiatry and psychotherapy services to long-term care facilities and community agencies across North Carolina, ACT Medical Group's 70-plus clinicians serve patients at 400 locations. The organization also leverages telehealth to provide patient care.
NextGen Ambulatory EHR and NextGen Practice Management provide reporting capabilities to track quality improvement measures, according to NextGen, a Horsham, Pa.-based wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems.
NextGen Ambulatory EHR version 5.6 Service Pack 1 has been certified 2011/2012 compliant as a Complete EHR by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT), NextGen stated.
