St. Jude, Zonare ink intracardiac imaging deal

St. Jude Medical and Zonare Medical Systems, a developer of ultrasound systems, have entered into a development and marketing agreement.

Under this agreement, the companies will combine the St. Paul, Minn.-based St. Jude intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) catheter and the z.one Convertible Ultrasound technology from the Mountain View, Calif.-based Zonare, and co-market an ultrasound system for intracardiac imaging. The co-branded ultrasound console will provide a new platform for St. Jude’s ViewFlex ICE catheter to perform intracardiac imaging.
