Resurrection Health Care names CMIO

Bradley Howard, MD, has been appointed senior vice president and chief medical informatics officer at Resurrection Health Care in Chicago. He will lead the organization's implementation of an Epic EHR and will direct the organization’s clinical computing, Resurrection stated.

Most recently, Howard was CMIO of Bon Secour Health System’s Greenville, S.C., region, where he was responsible for the preparation and implementation of Epic’s EHR and the development of strategies related to clinical content development, training and physician engagement. Prior to becoming CMIO, he was the system’s emergency room medical director and led quality improvement, growth and workforce enhancement projects.

Howard is a graduate of Emory University and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and is completing a master’s program in biomedical informatics at Oregon State University.
