VMware certifies GNAX Health

VMware has designated GNAX Health as a vCloud Powered Services provider. The announcement, made Aug. 29 at VMworld 2011 in Las Vegas, follows GNAX’s earlier VMware certification as an official Technology Alliance Partner for healthcare technology.

Atlanta-based GNAX noted the HIPAA technical safeguards integrated into its VMware offering. According to the company, additional benefits for healthcare vendors and providers include:
  • Healthcare IT as a Service (HaaS) by GNAX brings computing and access with HIPAA compliance to the cloud.
  • VMware layered on the GNAX HIT ecosystem enables the company to provide a private cloud, public cloud and/or hybrid cloud environment to healthcare customers.
  • GNAX cloud computing enables the off-loading of second tier applications which can lower hospital IT costs by approximately 30 percent.
