HealthPartners selects iConnect from Merge Healthcare

Minnesota-based HealthPartners has chosen to implement the iConnect vendor neutral archive from Merge Healthcare.

HealthPartners can now consolidate medical images from all of its care delivery locations and archives into one enterprise-wide system and image-enable their EHRs.

The system will also allow HealthPartners to automate the in-bound electronic processing of images for dozens of referring entities into Regions Hospital in St. Paul, which reduces the delays typically associated with handling CDs, according to Chicago-based Merge Healthcare.

In addition to the iConnect archive, HealthPartners utilizes the iConnect Share internet-based gateway and iConnect Access viewer.
