ECR: Siemens debuts wireless, mobile x-ray

Siemens Healthcare introduced Mobilett Mira, its mobile digital x-ray system with a wireless detector at the 2011 annual meeting of the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2011 in Vienna, March 3 to 7.

Mobilett Mira features an integrated drive and sends image data via W-LAN to an integrated imaging unit. The detector provides a resolution of more than seven million pixels, according to the company. A mobile x-ray imaging swivel arm moves vertically and horizontally up to 90 degrees and also integrates all electric connection cables.

Finally, Mobilett Mira can be maintained and updated using remote monitoring. Via data cable or W-LAN, Siemens Remote Services provides recommended software updates. Whenever required, a Siemens service engineer logs onto the system to analyze failures and determine which spare parts are required onsite.
