TriMedx to manage equipment for Nemours

Nemours Children’s Hospital of Orlando, Fla., is bringing in TriMedx, the Indianapolis-based supplier of healthcare technology services, to manage the hospital’s medical equipment inventory and support its clinical engineering (CE) department.

Nemours hopes to replicate the success of its sister organization, Nemours Children’s Clinic in Pensacola, Fla., which has been focused on "workforce development and patient care related to its health equipment management,” according to a TriMedx statement.

TriMedx said it will train and equip Nemours’ in-house CE team while also setting up systems for device maintenance, the goal being to shrink the department’s outlay for service contracts with original equipment manufacturers.

TriMedx is a subsidiary of Ascension Health Alliance, created in January when Ascension Health changed its organizational structure to include a parent holding company. Nemours operates children’s hospitals and related facilities in Florida, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
