Two companies to acquire Medseek

Silver Lake Sumeru, a technology private-equity company, and Essex Woodlands, a healthcare growth-equity firm, have signed an agreement to jointly acquire Medseek, a Birmingham, Ala.-based provider of patient engagement and analytics tools.

Medseek was founded in 1996 and its products are in use at more than 1,000 hospitals. The transaction is expected to close in the next several weeks, according to a release, upon satisfaction of all closing conditions.
