Texas practice to install eRad RIS

River Ranch Radiology, based in Austin, Texas, plans to deploy eRad's RIS.

The practice operates distributed sites across Central Texas, and uses eRad PACS. The deployment marks a transition to a single-vendor RIS/PACS. River Ranch expects to leverage eRad to qualify for meaningful use, according to Tara Martin, chief operating officer.

River Ranch provides various diagnostic imaging services including: MRI, CT, CT heartscore, lung CT, ultrasound, radiography, fluoroscopy, arthrograms, myelograms, DEXA, lumbar punctures, barium studies and pain managment.
