New ASRT scholarship to help rad techs earn first degree
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Foundation has announced the creation of a scholarship aimed at helping radiologic science professionals earn their first academic degree.
Dubbed the Degree Achievement Scholarship, the program will provide multiple radiologic science professionals with $2,000 each to assist with the cost of earning an associate or bachelor’s degree.
Applications for scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year will be available Nov. 1. The deadline to apply is Feb. 1, 2013. To be eligible, radiologic technologists must be working toward the completion of their first college degree at an accredited college or university and must be ASRT members. Candidates are selected based on evidence of academic achievement, leadership and financial need.
The scholarship is made possible by individual ASRT Foundation donors.
