Ga. ortho practice taps Merge for image archiving

Resurgens Orthopaedics in Georgia has selected Merge Honeycomb to archive patient images and provide a disaster recovery system.

Merge said its Honeycomb Archive houses images in multiple locations, providing remote access, and the framework meets HIPAA and other privacy requirements.

The system is sold on a subscription model and allows organizations to add capacity in the archive as storage needs increase, according to the Chicago-based company.
