RSNA: PACSGear launches image exchange technology

PACSGear (Booth # 8913) is introducing PACSGear Image Exchange (PIE), a media management system that facilitates image sharing between healthcare facilities, at RSNA 2012, Nov. 25-30, in Chicago.

PIE includes functionality to import DICOM CDs/DVDs from outlying facilities, reconcile and edit studies with quality control tools, burn DICOM CDs/DVDs and upload images to cloud-based and point-to-point vendors through the Open Image Exchange network, according to the Pleasanton, Calif.-based comapny.
