Accusoft Debuts Prizm Cloud Embedded Document Viewer for Web Developers

TAMPA, Fla. – May 14, 2013 – Accusoft, the leading provider of document, content and imaging solutions, today announces Prizm Cloud, a service that enables online content creators – such as web developers, bloggers, and social media authors – to easily display documents from within their content in a convenient, attractive document viewer.

What makes Prizm Cloud unique is that the documents stay on the content creator's server, while the viewing program itself resides in the Cloud – although the content consumer doesn't know it. All the consumer sees is a handy window that displays the document quickly and with perfect fidelity.

Prizm Cloud is also unique in the number of different file types it can display. While competitors display only a handful of different file types – forcing content creators to convert documents into a supported format, costing both time and loss of fidelity – the Prizm Cloud document viewer displays more than 300 different file types, including MS Office, PDF, CAD/CAM, and dozens of different image file types.

Some competitors also require users to upload documents to their servers, and to do so again every time the document changes. Documents viewed through Prizm Cloud stay on the content creator's server, in the creator's control, and whenever a document changes, the latest version is always immediately available to content consumers viewing it through Prizm Cloud. Prizm Cloud works in any Flash-enabled or HTML5 browser, including most mobile browsers.

"We are excited to be able to offer Prizm Cloud to all web developers," said Accusoft President Jack Berlin. "Our document viewers have been a large part of our business portfolio here at Accusoft, and we are excited that we can now offer this technology as a service."

Licenses for Prizm Cloud are available at no charge for up to 5,000 page views per month. A subscription version permitting greater volume also is available. Customers who would prefer to host this document viewing application on their own servers instead using a cloud solution can purchase the same powerful viewing capabilities in Accusoft’s Prizm Content Connect; learn more at http://www.accusoft.com/prizmcontentconnect.htm.
