Toshiba Names MR Business Unit Director

TUSTIN, Calif., May 28, 2013 Continuing its focus on meeting customer needs, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. named Beverly Plost director, MR Business Unit. Plost will be responsible for implementing strategic marketing plans to drive growth and profitability of Toshiba’s MR product line. Plost will also interface with Toshiba’s global business unit at Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation (TMSC) in Japan to communicate the needs and requirements of the U.S. market.

“Beverly Plost offers 20 years of experience in the medical imaging industry with effective marketing strategies in implementing and orchestrating initiatives that have a direct result to a company’s bottom line,” said Nancy Gillen, vice president, Marketing, Toshiba. “Beverly’s knowledge of imaging products and strong, proven leadership make her a valuable asset to the Toshiba organization.”

Plost’s career includes positions in marketing strategy, product development, sales and cross-functional teams in the medical imaging field. Most recently, Plost held the position of director, Strategy and Program Development, CT Marketing Business, at Philips Healthcare in the U.S. Prior to that, Plost was district MRI product support sales specialist and eventually became global manager, Ultrasound Business Unit, for Siemens Healthcare. Plost has a Bachelor of Science in business management and marketing from Oklahoma State University.
