Accusoft’s Scanning, File-Shrinking Apps Now iOS 7 Compatible

Accusoft today announces that its apps for Apple® Inc.'s iPhone and iPad are compatible with the new operating system for those devices, iOS 7. Both iOS 7-compatible apps--ThinPic and Barcode Scanner--are available through the iTunes App store.

ThinPic enables mobile users to store up to three times as many photos on their devices by reducing the size of the JPEG image files captured by the device's camera without affecting the picture's image quality or actual display/print size. Barcode Scanner is a free, fast mobile scanning app that quickly recognizes virtually all standard 1D and 2D barcodes. Barcode Scanner demonstrates Accusoft's Barcode Xpress Mobile software development kit (SDK), which empowers developers to easily integrate barcode recognition into iOS and Android apps.

To show how JPEG compression can save space, time and money, Accusoft is hosting a webinar on October 16 where the company will demonstrate both ThinPic and the ThinPic web service JPEG Wizard. More information is available at http://www.accusoft.com/webinars.htm

Accusoft representatives will also demonstrate ThinPic and JPEG Wizard at the upcoming PhotoPlus show in New York (October 24-26), and as exhibitors at PMA@CES, a showcase of photo/imaging products at January's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Attendees at these shows can schedule a demonstration by contacting Accusoft at http://www.accusoft.com/contactform.htm.
