New Analytics Tool from Health Level Streamlines VA National Teleradiology Program

Veterans Health Administration National Teleradiology Program (VA-NTP) is deploying its critical case management platform for all VA-NTP customers. Radiology staff serving Veterans in VA Medical Centers partnering with VA-NTP can get rapid turnaround for STAT Interpretations from NTP as well as continuous tracking of critical case data.

The number of VAs supported by NTP has grown over the past few years, from 30 to more than 80 medical centers with an annual volume in excess of half a million exams and significant growth in Veterans served. The program aims to ensure STAT exams and other critical cases are handled expediently, consistently and efficiently.

Using the new analytics driven workflow capabilities from Health Level, diagnostic radiology staff from all VA-NTP Medical Centers can collaborate efficiently across time zones with physicians and staff, and ensure information continuity across shift transitions. Foundations from Health Level, the platform providing this critical case management solution, allows VA-NTP to integrate multiple applications. According to Parag Paranjpe, CEO of Health Level, "This milestone is the fruition of a true partnership between the VA and Health Level that has delivered an excellent return on investment. We are pleased to see the VA-NTP benefit from the continued and expanded use of our analytics platform."
