FDA clears monitor from NEC Display Solutions

NEC Display Solutions of America announced that its MultiSync MD322C8 LCD display for radiology has received 510(K) market clearance from the FDA.

The MD322C8 is a 32-inch, 8-megapixel review monitor that comes factory-calibrated to the DICOM grayscale function for luminance. Also included is an open pluggable specification-compliant option slot, compatible with NEC-provided 3G/HD/SDI input cards to connect to live video streams, according to the company.
