Cabinet Goumot brings breast cancer detection to the next level with Barco’s Coronis Uniti™ display

Paris, France, 7 April 2016 — Healthcare imaging specialist Barco has installed its premium Coronis Uniti™ display system at Cabinet Goumot et Associés – a private diagnostic imaging practice in Paris, France, which specializes in breast disease diagnosis. Dr. Goumot and his associates believe that Coronis Uniti™ will help them take breast cancer diagnosis to the next level.

Dr. Pierre Alain Goumot has been relying on Barco medical solutions for over 15 years now: “As a clinical radiologist specializing in mammography and sonography, I only have one objective: detect breast cancer at its earliest possible stage. Barco has always been a trusted partner in that quest. Coronis Uniti™, however, will now make accurate diagnoses much easier.”

Crystal-clear precision
“Barco’s imaging technology has progressed impressively over the last couple of years,” Dr. Goumot continues. “Coronis Uniti™ now combines PACS and breast images with color on one workstation, which is really unique. Equally impressive, of course, is the image quality. With its 12MP screen, Coronis Uniti™ guarantees razor-sharp precision and exceptional brightness. That really helps us to precisely pinpoint breast abnormalities, resulting in fewer unnecessary recalls and, in the end, lessmortality.”

Ergonomic design for greater comfort

The ergonomic design of Coronis Uniti™ further supports better and faster diagnosis. The large 33” screen designed for the optimal field of vision offers the perfect canvas for side-by-side comparison of multiple high-res images. It minimizes head and eye movement and reduces the need for window-levelling, panning and zooming. Dr. Goumot further praises SpotView, which makes it easy to zoom in to analyze closely an area of concern.
“More than being innovative, Barco solutions are very reliable too: in the past 15 years, our diagnostic displays have never failed,” he says. “We are grateful that we can give our patients the best and most reliable breast cancer diagnosis possible, with help from Barco’s innovative equipment and technology.”  About Cabinet Goumot et associés
