AMGA names 19 providers for ACO Development Collaborative

The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) has released the names of 19 medical groups and organized systems of care that will be participating in its ACO Development Collaborative to assist member organizations in becoming successful accountable care organizations (ACOs).

These organizations represent more than 10,500 providers serving approximately 5 million patients in the U.S., the Alexandria, Va.-based AMGA said.

Participating groups in AMGA’s yearlong program include:
  • ABQ Health Partners in Albuquerque, N.M.;
  • Advocate Physician Partners in Mount Prospect, Ill.;
  • Alegent Health Clinic in Omaha, Neb.;
  • Arch Health Partners in Poway, Calif.;
  • Crystal Run Healthcare in Middletown, N.Y.;
  • District Medical Group in Phoenix;
  • Esse Health in St. Louis;
  • Harbin Clinic in Rome, Ga.;
  • Holzer Clinic in Gallipolis, Ohio;
  • Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y.;
  • New Lexington Clinic in Lexington, Ky.;
  • Physicians of Southwest Washington in Seattle;
  • The Polyclinic in Seattle;
  • The Portland Clinic in Portland, Ore.;
  • Portland IPA in Portland, Ore.;
  • Vanderbilt Medical Group in Nashville, Tenn.;
  • Walla Walla Clinic in Walla Walla, Wash.;
  • Weill Cornell Physician Organization in New York City; and
  • Wilmington Health in Wilmington, N.C.

The first meeting of the ACO Development Collaborative will take place Oct. 1-2 in conjunction with the AMGA National Summit on ACOs, the association said.
