aycan, German firm align on new interventional products

PACS manufacturer aycan and SOVAmed, a Koblenz, Germany-based company connected to the University of Koblenz-Landau and its Medical Technical Institute, have formed a medical post-processing partnership for the creation of vascular and interventional radiology and surgery products.

The two companies have introduced a processing and visualization of medical imaging data plugin, SOVA.evar. The plug-in was designed by SOVAmed using aycan’s Mac-based OsiriX PRO visualization software and can assess clinically relevant parameters for abdominal aortic aneurysm stent planning, offered Rochester, N.Y.-based aycan.
