Broadlane undergoes executive shakeup

Healthcare Management provider Broadlane has announced that the company's board chairman Patrick T. Ryan will assume the CEO position. Also, Thomas Sherry, Broadlane’s chief operating officer will become president.

David C. Ricker, president and CEO of the Dallas-based company, has elected to step down from his full-time role, but he will continue as a member of the board of directors. “As a founder of the company, I have achieved many of my goals over the past 10 years,” said Ricker.

Prior to joining Broadlane, Ryan served as CEO of Polymedica until its successful sale to Medco Health Solutions in 2007. In addition, Ryan is a member of the boards of directors of Affiliated Managers Group and Infusion Resources.
