Canon appoints Duca as president of subsidiary Virtual Imaging
Canon U.S.A., a digital imaging provider, has appointed Chris Duca as president of Virtual Imaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon.
Through Virtual Imaging’s system integration capabilities, Canon said its medical systems division delivers medical x-ray imaging and healthcare system solutions. Virtual Imaging operations are based in Deerfield Beach, Fla.
Duca began his career in the medical imaging field in 1984 and has focused on CT and MRI development and service. He established Integrated Technologies in 1993 and was appointed vice president and chief operating officer of Virtual Imaging when the two companies merged in 2005, according to the Lake Success, N.Y.-based Canon. Prior to Integrated Technologies, Duca worked for several years as part of a management team that reorganized management structure and auditing processes for companies.
Canon said that Duca will continue to be based in Deerfield Beach, Fla. He succeeds Tim Martinson, founder of Virtual Imaging, who is retiring from the medical industry after 35 years to spend more time with his family and pursue his hobbies.
