CareTech to acquire content management firm

Health IT company CareTech Solutions has reached an agreement in principle to acquire content management system provider Interactive Global Communications Network (IGCN).

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to the Troy, Mich.-based CareTech, its CareWorks content management system is an integrated information exchange that provides hospitals and healthcare systems with a Web solution to support physicians, patients, hospital staff, board members and the community. With the addition of the Easton, Pa.-based IGCN’s product offering, CareTech will further expand its portfolio for the healthcare industry, according to the firm.
