Cato to license Merges etrials software
Cato Research has signed a five-year technology transfer agreement to use Merge Healthcare’s etrials EDC [electronic data capture] technology to build and deploy custom clinical trial studies.
The technology transfer program allows Cato to use the etrials EDC system to deploy custom clinical trial studies that leverage the reporting capabilities of Merge’s technology. The etrials EDC solution is built on a software-as-a-service platform, and can be licensed on a subscription or study basis, according to Milwaukee-based Merge. In addition, Merge’s etrials IVR and ePRO software can be integrated with the EDC system to provide eClinical solutions.
Merge will also provide training and support to Cato, headquartered near Research Triangle Park, N.C.
