CIVCO names new leadership for radiation oncology business

Radiotherapy products vendor CIVCO Medical Solutions has announced the appointments of Tom Doughty as general manager-radiation oncology, Pieter-Jan Wegman as managing director of European sales, Leo de Mooy as managing director of product development and Patrick Dammekens as director of Asian-Pacific sales.

Doughty is responsible for the overall strategic planning and direction for the CIVCO’s radiation oncology business segment. Focusing on direct support for the radiation oncology customers, Doughty will oversee sales operations of the company’s facilities in Orange City, Iowa; Seattle; The Netherlands; and Shanghai. Doughty, who has been with the company since 1997, most recently served as executive director of sales.

Wegman’s primary responsibilities include growing sales in the European markets as well as defining product lines to meet the needs of clinicians in each country. Leo de Mooy focuses on new product innovations. Wegman and de Mooy, co-owners of Sinmed BV based in The Netherlands, previously served on Sinmed’s management team and are now members of the CIVCO executive team. Sinmed was acquired by CIVCO in April.

Under his new role, Dammekens is responsible for growing sales in the Asian markets. Previously he served as manager of European sales for MEDTEC.
