Civco offers needle guidance for GE ultrasound platform
Health IT company Civco Medical Solutions has introduced the Infiniti needle guidance system for use with GE Healthcare ultrasound platforms.
GE’s transducers, coupled with the Infiniti needle guidance system, are used in imaging applications to shorten procedure time and increase accuracy, according to GE. Together they offer a tool to increase clinical confidence in ultrasound-guided procedures such as regional anesthesia, musculoskeletal injections, blocks and vascular access for emerging markets, the company stated.
Civco’s Needle Guidance System consists of a reusable biopsy bracket and disposable snap-on needle guide with sterile CIV-Flex transducer cover, according to GE. The open channel design of the needle guide allows instruments to be positioned in the scan plane, providing a safe means for ultrasound-guided puncture procedures, GE said.
