digiChart OB-GYN version 7.0 nets CCHIT Certification

The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) has certified digiChart's OB-GYN version 7.0, which the Commission said meets its ambulatory EHR criteria for 2007.

As a CCHIT-Certified product, the Nashville, Tenn.-based digiChart's EMR has been tested and passed inspection of 100 percent of a comprehensive set of criteria for:
  • Functionality - ability to create and manage electronic records for all patients, as well as automating workflow in a physician's office
  • Interoperability - ability to exchange information with other systems such as pharmacies and laboratories)
  • Security - ability to protect patients' information
The CCHIT Certified mark provides the first consensus-based, government-recognized benchmark for ambulatory EHR products.
