Eclipsys names Eckert as president and CEO

Eclipsys Corp. has appointed R. Andrew Eckert as president and chief executive officer. Previously, Eckert served as CEO of SumTotal Systems Inc., a provider of learning and business performance technologies and services, and one of its predecessor companies, Docent, Inc. Eugene V. Fife, who previously served as president and CEO, continues in his role as Eclipsys chairman.
