Emageon to provide IVMR and services for Binghamton, N.Y. hospital

Emageon will manage medical image visualization and workflow integration at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, N.Y., under a new agreement.

The pact will include new system supports for medical image sources from across the enterprise and will integrate with other applications to improve access to information, process efficiency and patient care outcomes through Emageon's Intelligent Visual Medical Record (IVMR) technology. IVMR provides multi-specialty images, related information and advanced visualization toolsets, which are selected through a single-user interface.

Lourdes is a 267-bed, not-for-profit healthcare system sponsored by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul and is a member of Ascension Health. Ascension Health is the nation's largest Catholic healthcare system with a network of 54 acute care hospitals and 289 healthcare facilities.
