FAH appoints Burch as VP of quality, health IT

The Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) promoted Samantha Burch, MA, to vice president of quality and health IT. 

Burch previously served as director of healthcare policy and research for the FAH and, in her new role, will be responsible for analyzing, researching and developing written comments and proposals about quality measurement, patient safety, public policy and health IT.

Chip Kahn, MS, president and CEO of the FAH, said that the decision to promote Burch was based on her past performance, as well as her knowledge of health IT and public policy.
