GE promotes Wood

GE Healthcare has promoted Michael Wood, PhD, as general manager of Research Collaborations for the company's Global Magnetic Resonance (MR) business.

In his new role, Wood will work with leading global researchers to help expand clinical MR applications, GE said. Wood will report into John Chiminski, who was recently promoted to the position of vice president and general manager of the company's Global Magnetic Resonance (MR) business.

Wood joined GE in 2001 after 15 years as an academic researcher. Prior to his new leadership as general manager of MR Research Collaborations, Wood was manager of GE's Global 1.5T MR product line.
