GlobalMedia unveils new remote care devices

GlobalMedia Group has introduced two new remote ambulatory and emergency care systems: TransportAV and FirstAV.

Mounted on a stretcher, TransportAV allows for medical consultation from the field directly to the clinic or hospital where a patient is being transported, according to the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company. The system includes a touch-screen PC, controllable camera, a stethoscope, exam camera and Bluetooth wireless keyboard with headset.

The FirstAV system combines a wireless, handheld tablet computer with the wearable TotalExam S-Video camera for real-time medical triage or technical troubleshooting, GlobalMedia stated.

FirstAV provides a bird’s eye view utilizing standards-based PC video conferencing tools and will be available in the third quarter, the company added.
