Initiate Systems acquires HIE provider

Data management company Initiate Systems has acquired health information exchange provider Accenx Technologies to expand its interoperable healthcare solutions. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Accenx Exchange enables communities to connect healthcare providers, such as physician practices, reference labs and imaging centers, to share information such as orders and results. Accenx’ software as a service (SaaS) delivery model and physician outreach program offers the service levels required by physicians, according to Chicago-based Initiate.
