Intermedix acquires EMSystems

Health IT company Intermedix has acquired health IT company EMSystems for an undisclosed amount.

Milwaukee-based EMSystems will operate under the trade name Intermedix EMSystems as a division of Intermedix, stated Intermedix, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

EMSystems develops and markets web-based applications that help emergency healthcare providers and public health stakeholders prepare for, detect, respond to and provide care for emergencies.

Andy Nunemaker, who has led EMSystems as CEO since 2004, will serve as president of Intermedix EMSystems and, along with the EMSystems management team, will develop and market emergency healthcare technology systems for the combined companies, Intermedix added.
