Long named Zynx Health's chief technology officer

Mark Long, PhD, has been named chief technology officer for the Los Angeles-based health IT company Zynx Health.

According to the company, Long will lead Zynx's technology innovation, strategy and execution, and will be responsible for the research, design, development and delivery of new and existing applications as well as integration of Zynx clinical decision support with EHR systems.

Prior to joining Zynx, Long served as the chief technology officer at PortBlue, where he developed a patented decision support platform that was used for more than 80 software-as-a-service applications, the company added.

Long holds a PhD from the California Institute of Technology and an MS from Stanford University.
