McKesson releases new practice management software

Health IT company McKesson has released the new Lytec 2010 practice management software and its latest version of Lytec MD.

Lytec MD is a combined CCHIT-certified EHR and practice management system that features Bright Note Technology and Lytec Connect, the San Francisco-based company stated.

According to McKesson, Lytec Connect, powered by RelayHealth, allows the electronic delivery of patient data across care settings while Bright Note Technology takes a physician’s exam notes and completes the patient’s electronic chart.

Lytec 2010 practice management can be purchased alone or as an integrated part of Lytec MD, McKesson stated. According to the company, Lytec 2010 contains a Windows-based workflow engine that enables physician practices to navigate and facilitate patient scheduling, billing and reporting.
