NewCardio replaces CEO
NewCardio announced Jan. 10 that Jess Jones, MD, replaced Vincent W. Renz, Jr., as CEO, effective Jan. 1.
Jones was director of healthcare investing at Vision Capital Advisors between 2006 and 2010, and a member of NewCardio’s board of directors since 2008. Renz will remain with the company as an executive consultant.
Princeton N.J.-based NewCardio is developing a 3D electrocardiography (ECG) platform to enhance ECG capability for diagnosing acute and chronic heart disease as well as evaluating the cardiac safety of new drugs.
In other management changes, Greg Sadowski was named Chief Operating Officer. He previously served as NewCardio's senior vice president of client services, a position he held since 2008. He replaced Richard D. Brounstein, who resigned but will continue to serve as a consultant.
