NVIDIA Quadro Plex systems bring visual supercomputing to desktop

NVIDIA has debuted its D Series of NVIDIA Quadro Plex visual computing systems (VCS), available in desktop or rackmount configurations.

The NVIDIA Quadro Plex 2200 D2 VCS, with two Quadro GPUs, four dual-link DVI channels, and eight GB of frame buffer memory, is designed for advanced visualization of large models and datasets, as well as high-performance computing processes. Its partner, the Quadro Plex 2100 D4 VCS with four GPUs, eight dual-link DVI channels and a four GB frame buffer, is for multi-display applications.

The Quadro Plex D Series VCS will be available in September, according to the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company.
