Pennsylvania provider names McCoy as inaugural CMIO

Health system Catholic Health East (CHE) has selected Michael J. McCoy, MD, as the organization’s first CMIO.

As CMIO, McCoy will collaborate with information services, the clinical transformation department and other departments in the selection, development and implementation of computerized patient record systems, according to the Newtown Square, Pa.-based health system.

Prior to joining CHE, McCoy was the chief executive of a consultancy and services company focused on physicians and their adoption of technology and was a practicing obstetrician/gynecologist for more than 20 years, CHE stated.
