Picis names new VP

Picis Inc., a provider of high-acuity care automation software, this week announced that Jo Ann Ploen has been named vice president of business transformation/consulting. Ploen’s objective in the position is to grow the company's strategic business transformation services that enable users to tie business objectives and goals to process and IT improvements in surgery, intensive care and emergency departments, the company said.

To this end, Ploen will expand Picis’ consulting services to promote benchmarking and ROI analysis, which the company said is fundamental to its role as a high-acuity partner. Ploen reports directly to Kevin Pettet, executive vice president of client operations.

Prior to joining Picis, Ploen was vice president of sales for the Midwestern states for McKesson Provider Technologies. Additionally, Ploen held several consulting positions, including one at First Consulting Group where she was responsible for information system analysis, design and implementation; and developed strategic information technology plans to enhance customer's strategic position in the marketplace.
